HE CAN!!!

I know I live in Kennett, MO., but it feels like we moved to Seattle!!! I am so tired of all the rain we have been having the last two weeks. But it could be a lot worse.

I feel for all of the lives lost in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, and Mississippi from the tornadoes last week. So much destruction and many people are left searching for answers and picking up the pieces of their lives. I know many seem to struggle with all that has happened and are asking “Why?”.

I love what psalmist says in Psalm 46:

“1 God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble.

2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change
And though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea;
3 Though its waters roar and foam,
Though the mountains quake at its swelling pride. Selah.
4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
The holy dwelling places of the Most High.
5 God is in the midst of her, she will not be moved;
God will help her when morning dawns.
6 The nations made an uproar, the kingdoms tottered;
He raised His voice, the earth melted.
7 The LORD of hosts is with us;
The God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah.
8 Come, behold the works of the LORD,
Who has wrought desolations in the earth.
9 He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth;
He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two;
He burns the chariots with fire.
10 “Cease striving and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

11 The LORD of hosts is with us;
The God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah.”

Even though things may look bad at the time, God is always in control!

God is in control! What a great peace that is for us to walk in. In this world that seems so upside down right now and with all of the chaos and confusion it is good to know that the Creator has things right on HIS pace and it is all under control.

I think sometimes in my own life I THINK I HAVE EVERYTHING UNDER CONTROL! But the fact of it all is that I don’t and the more I try to control and direct things, sometimes the worse they get. It is a daily struggle and it is so easy to get caught in the control game, but at the end of it all, it is just best for ME to LET GO AND LET GOD!

I don’t have all the answers, but He does. I can’t keep it all together, but He can.

I can’t help all the hurt and heartache of those suffering loss during this time of tragedy…

But HE can!
